The stunningly beautiful Shun line of kitchen cutlery is forged by Kai in Japan and distributed through Kershaw. The san mai damascus blade profile reduces sticking and results in less damage to the food being cut and faster prep times.
A stainless steel VG-10 center core (Jigane) is clad with 16 layers of SUS410 high-carbon stainless steel on each side. VG-10 "super steel" is composed of carbon, chromium, cobalt, manganese, molybdenum, silicon and vanadium, resulting in a long-lasting, high-performance edge with easy maintenance. 'D' shape Black Pakawood handles provide beauty and function. The 'D' shape is designed for right handed users and provides maximum comfort and control. Pakawood provides strength and stability along with moisture resistance.
