Blade: Ladder pattern stainless Damascus by Devin Thomas
Handle: Premium grade blue toned fossil mammoth ivory
Description: Thomas' experience working as a professional chef shines through in this dramatic chef's knife. His design is effective and feels great in the hand. The blade has a strong distal taper for balance and excellent edge geometry for perfect cutting. The blade is ladder pattern Damascus forged from stainless steel by Devin Thomas. The large blade of the chef's knife makes an exceptional canvas for the bold Damascus pattern. The handle is formed from premium grade fossil mammoth ivory set on a full tang. The deep blue tones in the mammoth ivory are a result of minerals in the soil around the ivory while it was in the permafrost. Blue tones such as this are particularly rare and sought after. The mammoth ivory has been recessed from the edge so as to protect it during use. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
This knife was featured on page 139 of Knives 2007.
