Description: Mastersmith David Anders created this exceptional utility knife which is perfect as a general utility knife -- either in the kitchen or for a daily carry knife. The 5160 carbon steel blade has been forged to shape with an integral bolster and tang -- all forged from a single piece of 5160 carbon steel round bar. Creating integral knives is particularly hard and shows a tremendous amount of skill. A distal taper to the blade assures optimal balance. A differential heat treatment results in a softer, supportive spine, with a super-hard, long lasting, razor sharp edge. The hand satin finish brings in elegance and an heirloom quality. The desert ironwood handle swells gently into the palm for a sure grip that continues to feel comfortable after hours of work. Fileworked pommel. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
