Description: This handmade mezzaluna shows Heavin Forge's work at its best. Mezzaluna, meaning "half-moon" in Italian, are chopping knives typically used for herbs, spices, garlic, and the like. The knife along with its attending wood display stand is extremely effective as well as dramatic.
12C27 stainless steel ensures a keen, long lasting edge without the increased care of a carbon steel blade. The hollow grind has been mirror polished. The flats are hand textured. The handle is formed from a warthog tusk which is polished to a luster. The handle is completed with a mosaic pin.
Accompanied by wood display stand to protect the edge when not in use. Exceptional work throughout! This knife will be as at home in a collection as it is useful in the kitchen!
