Description: John Leitch's paring knives will feel as at home in a collection as they will used in the kitchen. This is a perfect size to be used as a paring knife for detail tasks in the kitchen but may also be used as an executive desk knife. The A2 carbon steel blade was etched with a relief for his maker's mark. This results in a "damascene" pattern that has made his work well known. The A2 carbon steel blade was heat treated by Paul Bos to Rc 59 and will have exceptional edge holding. The fit between nickel silver bolsters and African blackwood scales is excellent -- without a perceptible seam. Exceptional work throughout!
