Description: Handmade by Jim Arbuckle, this chef's knife is an excellent choice for the cook that wants a knife that is as attractive as it is useful. This piece is handmade and one-of-a-kind -- there's not another one like it in the world!
The blade is made from high performing, low care ATS-34 stainless steel and has an heirloom quality hand-rubbed satin finish. A deep choil (cut-out) for the forefinger to rest in makes the knife easy to hold -- even with slippery hands. It was hardened and double tempered to Rc 59-60 for excellent edge retention. The smooth, slightly rounded spine moves into a serpentine fileworked full tang. Spalted sycamore scales have a beautiful contrast of black spalting against light toned wood, and are shaped to ensure a comfortable, secure grip. Excellent fit and finish throughout!
