Description: Devin Thomas is probably best known for his exquisite damascus steel -- what is less well known is that he is also an exceptional knifemaker that specializes in chef's knives. When he combines his artistry with damascus with his skill at making kitchen knives, the results are truly exceptional!
Sujihiki are slicers or carving knives that are well suited for slicing and portioning meats and fish. The thin, long blade ensures a superior and clean cut. This is a perfect knife to select when carving roasts, fowl, and ham.
The stainless feather pattern damascus blade has many veins moving off a central quill. By combining 19C27, AEBL, and 302 stainless steels, Devin ensured that this knife will have a keen, long lasting edge that won't quit. A distal taper creates optimal balance.
The octagonal handle combines presentation grade curly pyinma wood with jet black micarta. This wood, which comes from Indochina and Indonesia has reddish-yellow tones. The combination of curls with a semi-ring pore structure produces an attractive figure.
Exceptional work throughout!
