Description: Peter Pruyn created this exceptional slicer/utility. It will be an exceptional performer and is a perfect choice for use as a slicer/utility in the kitchen. Utility knives like this are perfect for slicing vegetables and meats. The 1-1/2 inch tall blade has just enough finger clearance over a cutting board that it could even be used for chopping by someone with a smaller hand.
The blade is hand forged from 5160 carbon steel. A soft back draw results in a softer, supportive spine, with a keen, long lasting edge. The spine has been heat colored for a dramatic appearance. Both the tang and blade are distal tapered for optimal balance.
The handle is formed from stabilized buckeye burl wood. Mosaic pins set it in place. 416 stainless steel bolsters were meticulously hand engraved by Master Engraver Gordon Alcorn.
The knife is accompanied by a pouch style leather sheath by Kenny Rowe. Excellent work throughout!
