Description: Journeyman Smith Keith Fludder resides in New South Wales, Australia. He started making knives in 1989 is now a full time maker. Keith's knives are works of art that excel in performance.
This Dark Side Hunter is a perfect companion on any trail life may find you on. The clip point, recurve blade was forged closely to shape. A gun blued finish provides limited rust resistance by providing a protective oxide layer. The blade is forged from 52100 carbon steel. Many knife makers and knife users feel that 52100 is among the highest performing steels currently used in the knife industry. By forging the knife closely to shape, Fludder ensures a keen, long lasting edge.
The presentation grade sheoak (Casuarina spp.) handle is carved to swell at the palm, move into a slimmer waist, and swell again at the end. The reddish/orange toned wood looks great set against the gun blued steel.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched, tooled leather sheath.
Exceptional work throughout!
