Description: This folding knife by Mastersmith Mike Vagnino really demands attention. Premium mammoth bark scales and mokume bolsters come together for an elegant presentation anyone could enjoy!
The blade is formed from hand rubbed satin finished Carpenter CTS-XHP stainless steel. This US-made steel is an air hardening, high carbon, high chromium, corrosion resistant alloy. At Hrc 62-64, it will have exceptional edge holding! The choil lets you choke up on the blade for precision cutting tasks.
The blade easily fires open using the ambidextrous flipper mechanism. The blade has smooth action with no blade play thanks to the ball bearing pivot. The flipper tab creates a guard when open to prevent the hand from sliding over the blade.
The handle is made from premium sections of ancient mammoth ivory bark. The ivory is from the very outer section of the ancient tusk and combines cream and caramel tones. Mokume gane bolsters forged from brass and copper meet nicely with the mammoth bark. Titanium liners have been hand filed into a vine pattern and anodized bronze. The titanium pivot, barrel spacers, and screws have been anodized bronze to match. The bronze anodized titanium pocket clip is mounted for right-handed, tip-up carry.
Excellent work throughout!
