Description: Journeyman Smith Shawn Ellis lives in the Ozarks -- an area well known for hunting and fishing. After searching for a knife that would perform well -- holding a keen, long lasting edge -- Sean realized that he had to learn how to forge and create his own knives. Shawn recently competed in and won the Forged in Fire competition as seen on the History Channel.
Ellis began this integral hunter by hand forging the blade from O-1 carbon steel. A differential heat treatment provides a soft, supportive spine and a keen, long lasting edge.
Carbon fiber scales are set on a full tang for strength and durability. Mosaic pins are a nice touch.
Accompanied by a Kydex sheath with a low profile belt clip.
Excellent work throughout!
