Description: Blair Todd, out of Gresham, Oregon, makes an amazing culinary knife. Todd has been a full time maker since 2014. He is quickly becoming well known for his high performance chef's knives.
This high performance fillet knife is a perfect choice whether for use out in the field or in the kitchen. The long, slender blade is firm with a slight flex and will make quick work of cleaning and filleting fish.
The blade is formed from 52100 carbon steel. Many knife users and knifemakers feel that 52100 is among the best steels currently used to make knives. It provides a super-keen cutting edge that won't quit. Because this knife is forged from carbon steels, we recommend using camellia oil to avoid rust and oxidation. The blade is distal tapered for perfect balance and cutting efficiency.
Natural Micarta scales are set on the full tang for strength and durability. Three brass pins set the scales in place. The handle is nicely contoured for a secure comfortable grip. It swells toward the middle, moves into a slimmer waist and swells again at the end of the handle.
The knife is perfectly balanced and will be a joy to use! Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
