Description: This folding knife was a collaboration between Rob Simonich and Darrell Ralph back in 2001 and is one of only 10 made. The goal was to bring both makers' influences into the design and the collaboration sold out before it was even completed! The blades were hand ground by Rob and Darrell fit the handles. This knife was in a private collection since it was made. The blade shows some very slight scuffing, otherwise the knife is in brand new condition. It does not appear to have ever been carried or been used to cut.
The blade was ground from Talonite. This highly desired, non-ferrous metal has exceptional edge holding (beyond the limits of many steel knives) while remaining fully rust proof. If buried in salt water it would take over 1000 years to develop any oxidation! The blade is belt satin finished in the grinds and features a hand rubbed finish in the flats. It can be easily deployed using ambidextrous thumbstuds.
Milled carbon fiber scales are set on thick stainless steel liners that provide plenty of durability. A lanyard can be added to the rear of the knife if more retention is desired. The stainless steel lowrider pocket clip is mounted for right-handed, tip-down carry.
