Good budget knife
James  USA  3/6/2013

Really enjoyed my time with this nakiri. Blue #2 steel took a very good edge is tough. I also found it to be quite unreactive, less than Blue Super for sure. I would recommend this steel to anyone considering a carbon blade but feared the care required. Handle is pretty cheap (expected for $90). Thickish upper blade makes for a fairly hefty blade, but the thinness behind the edge up to about 1" was very good. Thin behind the edge but thicker up top (for weight) makes for a very effective chopper. One thing I didn't care for is the edge is not parallel with the handle, might not concern others though. Overall a reasonably cost introduction to a good steel and good grind.
