I think I got this knife about 4 years ago, it's still as good as new, I not only use it for bread but watermelon and slicing roasts and turkey.

This is a very nice looking knife. I'd put off getting a decent bread/slicer for a long time, always trying to use something else and finally decided to get this one after going on the internet and asking a whole bunch of experienced cooks what they recommended. The Mac SB-105 was recommended by so many -- yes they specified it by the actual model number so I'd be sure to get the right one.
It cuts everything wonderfully without tearing, interesting blade and so enjoyable to use, I'll often grab it for tomatos and oranges but hard bread or really soft, it's excellent. Also the best dollar value I've found in a knife but that's not why I bought it, I was prepared to spend up to $200 but didn't have to. This is a real winner!

The MAC Superior Bread/Roast knife is a purpose-built knife that cuts bread like butter. It makes cutting bread a joy.

This is a great bread knife. Cuts breads cleanly with no tearing or crumbs. The wavy "superslicer" seration works so much better than the standard serations I've used all my life.
