This knife is a work of art. From the beautiful Damascus patterns to the ultra-thin blade to the ebony handle it is all I could hope a knife would be. I cut transparent slices of onion, carrots and chicken without problem. The edge seems to hold up quite well but I try to avoid any chopping with this knife as well as staying far away from any bones, pits or anything else hard. When used as designed it is perfect for the job.
