So far I've had the pleasure of owning Messermeister and Tojiro DP chef knives, and each has had it's positives and negatives. This knife has neither. It is, after 3 months of heavy use, seemingly without flaw.
The edge retention is amazing. It holds an edge and when it starts to lose the edge, responds easily to honing. It is a simple matter to sharpen it, both in time and effort. The geometry is exactly how I prefer my knives, a moderate belly with a gentle rise to a low tip. The handle is comfortable and well finished.
