|Excellent Nakiri |

The nakiri is a shape missing from western knives and the first time you use one you'll wonder why. The straight edge, blade weight and shape is perfect for almost anything involving slicing and dicing vegetables from cutting green onion bunches to slicing potatoes and even ripe tomatoes. It will rapidly become one of the most used knives in your set.
I've used several different nakiris and this one is my current favorite. Weight, shape, handle and blade sharpness all work well together.
The slightly rough blade surface is easily cleaned with a soft brush. Even though I do citrus daily this blade shows no propensity to stain if wiped off reasonably soon after use despite its low chromium content. It holds an edge very well and needs only minimal touchup every few months.
The handle is good looking and functional but the wood can benefit from a few waxings.

This is one amazing knife. Photos do not even begin to do it justice. It is ten times prettier in person. This is my first nakiri and I had my doubts about it being versatile in the kitchen. This is extremely versatile. There is nothing that it has not cut with ease and straight edge razor precision. I have julienned horseradish root, ginger, red peppers, carrots, japanese eggplant. This is an all around SUPERIOR knife. I had my doubts about the cost and it is worth every penny. What an edge, and what a lovely tool to use. It is true that the balance is slightly forward and tip heavy. But I with a pinch grip that is slightly forward (as Im convinced it should be) this is perfectly balanced. This knife will outperform and do things other knives won't. Bite the bullet and buy it! Daniel and Nancy both were extremely helpful and picked out a knife with a specific handle color for me. Customer service can always be improved upon but they are great! I would consider buying my next knife from them as well!

This knife is SO worth the money! Holds its edge forever; light and quick, but well-balanced; all my other nakiris haven't seen the light of day since I bought this, and I will be buying another knife of this line asap! My other Yoshikane is amazing as well... they make AWESOME knives for the money, you will NOT be disappointed!
