I began drawing sketches and designing knives when I was in my late teens and still living in Sweden where I grew up.

By doing so, I took an interest that I have had since childhood a step further. A few years passed before I decided to take the final step and actually start making knives. I began an apprenticeship with Japanese sword and knifemaker Scott Slobodian and worked as his assistant for a year and a half. I now have my own workshop and am able to devote all my time to my own projects.

From a three year education in fine cabinetry, I acquired a strong sense for detail, which is essential when creating high quality knives. I create only my own designs. The knives that I make are all one of a kind, so when asked to recreate a particular piece, I will change the design a little in order to make each creation unique. I make mainly daggers, fighters, and aikuchi style knives with a Nordic flavor. I am in no way bound to these styles - I simply prefer them. Most of my blades are made from 1050 carbon steel or ATS-34 stainless steel. On occasion I use other steels, for example Damascus or 440C. For the handles, I use only natural materials. I carve all my fittings in wax and then cast them using the lost wax casting method. For a few select knives, I make a hardwood display box to complement the uniqueness of that particular piece.
