Description: Lloyd (Butch) Harner of Harner Knives has been making knives full time since 2006. He specializes in high end kitchen cutlery and straight razors. This bull nose butcher knife will be perfect for slicing meats, breaking down large cuts of meat, or general tasks around the barbeque pit.
The blade is made from satin finished CTS-XHP stainless steel. This US made steel is a new air hardening, high carbon, high chromium, corrosion resistant alloy. This steel will have exceptional edge holding! The spine has been nicely rounded for comfort. Harner's maker mark is on the left side of the blade.
The handle is formed from honey locust burl (Gleditsia triacanthos) secured to the full tang using three pins. This durable hardwood is native to the south-central and eastern United States. The wood's swirling figure provides a beautiful aethetic. The faceted handle is extremely comfortable and provides a secure grip.
Excellent work throughout!
