Description: John Leitch's desk knife will feel as at home in a collection as on your desk -- or even used in the kitchen as a utility knife! From opening packages and letters to slicing up your lunch, this knife has you covered!
The ATS-34 stainless steel blade was etched with a relief for his maker's mark. This results in a "damascene" pattern that has made his work well known. The stainless steel blade will have exceptional edge holding. The 6 inch, slender blade makes it very useful and versatile in the kitchen, from slicing fruit to chopping garlic, to removing silverskin from meat.
African blackwood handle scales are fit to the full tang using two mosaic pins and a stainless pin at the rear. African blackwood is one of the densest woods in the world and is highly prized for its jet black appearance. The scales meet perfectly with polished nickel silver bolsters. The knife is lightweight and has excellent balance.
To keep the knife protected during transportation, a brown leather sheath is included so the knife can be slipped into a pocket or into a culinary bag.
Nice work throughout!
