Description: Swedish knifemaker Greger Forselius has a flair for design and a passion for making knives. This large chef's knife will be a kitchen favorite. The high performance knife will do a great job, whether slicing meats or chopping vegetables.
The blade is stainless damascus forged by Damasteel in Sweden. This high performing stainless damascus steel is created using powder metallurgical manufacturing to provide excellent edge retention and unmatched beauty. Greger heat treated the blade to 60 Hrc to ensure a long lasting cutting edge. The edge is convex ground, combining durability and food release.
The handle is crosscut stabilized birch wood that is hand sculpted and textured to provide a comfortable, slip resistant grip. Black fiber spacers help the handle materials adjust to temperature and humidity fluctuations in the kitchen. Mammoth bone bolsters meet perfectly with the handle and is contoured to accommodate a pinch grip. The handle is extremely comfortable regardless of holding the knife in a pinch grip or further back on the handle.
To keep the knife protected during transportation, Greger has included a custom tooled leather sheath.
Excellent work throughout!
