Description: Toor Knives was founded by Connor Toor in San Diego, California. Connor was in the Marine Corps at the time and was frustrated seeing teammates in the Marine Corps having to rely on mass-produced knives that were unfit for mission-specific tasks. By pooling the experience of his teammates and his Army Ranger brother Cameron Toor, Toor knives was able to create a family of blades that fit the needs of airborne operations, diving, close-quarters battle, law enforcement, scouting, and patrolling-related missions. Toor Knives are tough, yet well balanced and easy to carry. Plus, they guarantee their knives for life from any manufacturing defects or issues!
The Avalon is the first fillet knife offered by Toor. It offers the same uncompromising build quality and premium materials for which the brand is known for. The 6 inch blade is CPM-154 stainless steel, an excellent steel well known for its superior edge retention and rust resistant qualities. This steel's high resistance to corrosion ensures optimal use even in the wettest conditions. The blade is incredibly slim with just a little bit of flex to provide maneuverability, ensuring you'll be able to reach all the hard to access spots while filleting your catch. A lanyard can be added to the back of the knife.
Fish scale sculpted G-10 scales provide an excellent grip and are secured to the full tang with Torx screws, allowing for easy tear-down when cleaning.
To keep the Avalon close at hand, a Tru-Hide Kydex sheath is included. The sheath requires about 6 lbs. of draw which means it will not accidently fall out of the sheath -- but it is still very easy to draw when needed. Multiple friction offsets will prevent the blade from rattling even after many sharpenings. Tension can be adjusted using the screw at the top seam of the sheath. Toor Knives' sheath molding and machining is one of the best in the industry!
Made in the USA.
