Description: Brian Tighe creates unique, functional and visually appealing knives of the highest quality. His blades are the result of 25 years of experience in metallurgy artistry and tactical expertise. When he puts his hands to creating uniquely dramatic, high performance chef's knives, the results are exceptional.
This high performance chef's knife is a perfect choice as a primary knife in the kitchen. The long, deep-bellied blade is well suited as a general purpose chef's knife. Whether slicing, chopping, mincing, or dicing, this comfortable knife will do it all. The gentle arc of the cutting edge is perfect for a rocking, chopping motion with plenty of finger clearance over a cutting board.
The 8 inch blade is hand ground stainless damascus forged by Damasteel in Sweden. The high contrast pattern is immensely captivating and will provide a keen, long lasting edge. Damasteel ensures exceptional performance without the care needed to maintain damascus forged from carbon steels. The nimble blade is distal tapered for a perfect balance.
The handle is machined Toxic Storm FatCarbon carbon fiber composite. This dramatic composite material creates a damascene pattern using thin layers of ceramic and carbon fiber. This results in a beautiful chatoyancy that reflects light exceptionally. The handle is inspired by traditional Japanese chef's knives and is extremely comfortable, even when used for hours at a time. By 3D machining the sides of the handle, Tighe has ensured a non-slip grip.
The chef's knife is sure to be a kitchen favorite!
