Description: Swedish knifemaker Greger Forselius has a flair for design and a passion for making knives. This chef's knife will be a kitchen favorite. The high performance knife will do a great job, whether slicing meats, chopping vegetables, or mincing herbs.
The blade was forged by Korben Bloomfield in the UK. The san mai blade combines an 80CrV2 carbon steel core and 1080+ carbon steel sides with a thin nickel spacer in between for contrast. A forced patina creates a particularly elegant appearance. The blade features an S-grind for effortless cutting with easy food release.
The handle combines presentation grade snakewood and cream toned crosscut mammoth ivory. Stainless steel and black fiber spacers help the handle adjust to humidity and temperature fluctuations in the kitchen. The handle is nicely contoured to provide a secure, comfortable grip.
To keep the knife protected during transportation, Greger has included a hand stitched custom leather sheath.
Excellent work throughout!
