Description: Blayde Barnett is the adult son of Australia knifemaker Bruce Barnett. Over the last few years, Blayde has been making some amazing knives. This chef's knife is an exceptional example of his work.
This high performance chef's knife is a perfect choice as a primary knife in the kitchen. It is an exceptionally efficient slicing and chopping knife. The tall profile provides plenty of finger clearance over a cutting board. Because this knife is forged from carbon steels, we recommend using camellia oil after use to avoid rust and oxidation.
The blade is a tight twist pattern damascus, forged to shape from 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels. The high contrast pattern is immediately captivating from a distance and holds attention upon closer inspection.
The handle is hand sculpted stabilized sheoak, one of the worlds rarest and most desirable woods in the world. The cross-cut wood has a nice mix of light and dark tones. It is nicely carved to swell toward the front of the handle, move into a slimmer waist and finally to swell again at the beak. The knife has perfect balance and feels exceptional in your hand. It is sure to become a kitchen favorite.
