Description: Anders Högström is a talented maker from Johanneshov, Sweden. He combines traditional Nordic, Japanese, and medieval styles into one and makes it his own. He is well known for his exceptional fit and finish and well done designs. Just about everything Högström makes is truly one-of-a-kind!
Hogstrom designed this Field Chef Knife as the perfect knife for cooking while out in the field -- though it will easily feel at home in most kitchens. The blade is stainless damascus forged by Damasteel in Sweden. The large belly in the blade allows the knife to be comfortably rocked over a cutting board, but could just as easily handle skinning tasks while out in the field. By using Damasteel, Hogstrom ensures the knife will have great edge retention and need very little maintenance. Ander's mark is on the spine of the knife.
Dyed and stabilized maple burl scales are secured to the full tang using torx screws. This allows the scales to be removed if additional cleaning is needed. A hole in the extended tang allows the addition of a lanyard if desired.
To keep the knife close at hand, a kydex sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
