Description: Designed and manufactured to stand up to heavy-duty use, Zero Tolerance Knives are built from premium materials and designed to provide the user with maximum strength, versatility, and unwavering reliability. All Zero Tolerance Knives are built with integrity to professional, hard-use specifications. They're in demand by armed forces personnel, law enforcement officers and other first responders, as well as by discerning knife owners who simply want to be ready for anything the world might throw at them. The knives are called “Zero Tolerance” because they’re designed and built with zero tolerance for anything less than the very best -- in materials, craftsmanship, and made-in-the-USA dependability.
The Zero Tolerance 0804CF is a Todd Rexford collaboration knife based on his popular Gamma custom. The blade deploys using the built-in flipper. Just pull back on the jimped flipper and the razor-sharp blade rotates out of the handle on ZT’s glass-smooth KVT ball-bearing system. No springs required - just simple, one-handed opening.
The large 4 inch blade is constructed from premium Carpenter CTS-204P. The unique combination of wear resistance, toughness, polishability, and corrosion resistance makes CTS 204P stainless steel an excellent candidate for high-performance industrial and custom knives. The excellent wear resistance of the alloy is provided by hard vanadium-rich carbides, while the alloy's outstanding corrosion resistance is obtained as a result of the chromium-rich matrix. The application of Carpenter's Micro-Melt PM processing creates a segregation-free and homogeneously fine carbide and grain size distribution. The use of molten metal filtration results in improved cleanliness and toughness compared to conventionally processed material. To prevent light reflection, the blade is coated with a tungsten DLC black finish.
Like the blade, the handle is built with strength and durability in mind. The DLC coated titanium frame features a carbon fiber scale. The frame lock has a hardened steel lockbar insert that firmly secures the blade open during use. A USA Made badge on the pivot proudly declares the knife's country of origin. A black oxide aluminum backspacer and lanyard hole are a nice finishing touch. Includes a reversible pocket clip mounted for tip-up carry.
