Description: These forged, differentially tempered pruning shears are made in Sanjo, Japan -- a region famed for their hand forged metalwork. Hidehisa combines tradition, skill, and modern technology to create some of the best pruning shears available anywhere.
This secateurs is popular amongst all sorts of gardeners. It features spring loaded blades for very clean cuts. The blades are suitable for garden maintenance, including cutting thick branches. The shears are forge-welded from carbon steel for a high performance edge. The master blacksmith then carefully tempers each blade for increased edge life, and hones it to a razor edge. Because they are made from carbon steel, we recommend oiling them with camellia oil after use. Maximum cut is 3/4 inch.
The all-carbon steel handle is thick, making it comfortable across hours of use. For safety, a catch is provided to lock the blades in the closed position.
Attractively boxed and accompanied by a leather blade cover. This is the sort of tool that makes working in the yard a pleasure.
