unbeatable for the price (11/27/2015)
I had been shopping around for a Nakiri under $100. This one looked the best of any I looked at from several sellers. I bought it sight unseen and it exceeded my expectations. My impressions are similar to the other reviews; great looking knife with excellent fit and finish, nice grind and super sharp out of the box. I only needed to put it to the strop and it's one of my sharpest blades.

Great Knife (3/7/2013)
Takes and holds an incredible edge. My most used and most valued knife, though far from the most expensive.

Great Value! (2/16/2013)
I picked one of these up about a month ago. I wanted a carbon Nakiri that was in the ballpark of $100. Went in and looked at 4 possible buys and this is the one that went home with me. It's an amazing knife for the price. Best F&F on the handle of the lot I looked at. The edge was the sharpest factory edge I have seen on a knife so far. Handles and cuts just as you'd expect a nice Nakiri to.

What a tank (7/5/2011)
The blade is beautiful; that's what I first noticed. When I first held it, I was surprised that it was so heavy. The outer layers don't attract any oxidation which is great for maintenance and appearances. It's a little on the thick side for my taste but still performs well and consistently. It does very well on nearly all produce but carrots. It's a little too thick and splits them. All in all, a very nice knife and a good deal.

Stop wondering.. buy it. (7/19/2008)
This knife exceeded my expectations. It was sharper than expected out of the box, similar to a Yoshikane. It has a great geometry that facilitates a decent amount of rocking room if that is your style, but not too much if you wanted to grind the edge and make it straight for slicing/chopping with the entire edge on the cutting board at once. The blade has a nice taper from spine to edge, putting the weight a little forward of the handle. It's not the lightest nakiri, but certainly not the heaviest. I felt more attention could be given to the edges on the heel and the spine in terms of fit and finish. I don't care for the bolster, but intended on replacing it anyway. This knife gets four stars because it is a very strong performer for the price. Great steel hardness/ resilience, a great edge, beautiful finish, and most importantly... this knife is fun to use! Thanks to Epic Edge for quick shipping and carrying great steel.
