Bought as a christmas gift for my mom, who's had the same henkel knife for thirty years now. I was surprised at the price markdown, as it was knocked from way out of my range to right smack in the sweet spot. After a few minutes of holding the thing, I couldn't figure out why it was so cheap. Balance is good, fit and finish is absolutely outstanding, grip and design is gorgeous. I decided to pull the trigger on it, and tested it out before I wrapped it up. WOW. razor sharp, nearly as good as the much more expensive asai carbon blade I just bought. It's light, whispy, sharp, but feels strong and stable at the same time. The finish really does just fling food off, NOTHING sticks. Shaves the hair off of your arm without leaving a trace. Compared to my slightly more expensive myabi kaizen (basically a slightly better shun classic,) there's no question, the Ohishi destroys it. If you've got under $150 to spend on a workhorse, this will see you well. Despite the slightly short 180mm, even with my massive hands, it didn't feel incapable of taking on rather enormous vegetables.
